This is exactly why we are against working/plowing the soil. You will turn up seed and spore that has not yet germinated. Usually mowing repeatedly will kill off the weeds. Grasses need to be sprayed. Your weeds should be browning out in your area. Mow them. If you have grasses, spray them, now is the time. Also do some fertilizing. Stay away from nitrogen in the fertilizer and the salt based fertilizers, if possible.
