Food plot in winter
Here is my corn food plot in january. I planted just corn last spring.This spring I will plant clover,brassicas and corn. WWW.pbase.com/mlo3135127

Looks like Mount Markham deer to me.
Sure is a nice picture. I like how all their heads are down at the same time.
Won't you agree that its tough to beat corn for Deer after Thanksgiving in Central NY? The clover will be a winner, and a great compliment to corn. The Jury is still out on Brassicas for me - but I'll be giving them another shot this year too.
Did you broadcast the corn in the picture? Was it Round up Ready corn?
Post more pictures - we all enjoy looking at the plots other's do.

Your are right FH. You can't beat corn during the colder months. It was round up ready corn planted with a corn planter. When there is not alot of snow I bush hog a few rows of corn at a time and the deer go wild on the bush hogged corn. One of my friends planted about an acre of Brassicas and the deer had it chewed to the ground by mid November.
