I am looking for a feeder motor that I can attach to my own container. There are so many out there and they vary a lot in cost. Does anyone have a brand that they can reccomend. I don't think I need all the bells and whistles, but I would like one that is well constructed and will last. Also easy on the batteries.

kc,
I agree with key ON Time is is Great. I have used others but the on time works great.
It is a simple and easy to use. I did not think that I would like the AA batterie design but they last over a year.
Oh and they dont cost a arm and a leg.

I agree w/ Treeclimber.
I have 2 feeders, 1 is an (On Time) the other is a Game country (Day 2) timer.
The Day 2 timer is awesome. Very versatile and reliable. The 6-volt battery it uses lasts a lot longer than the double A's. That means less maintenance time.
The day 2 comes with a template to make the cutout in your container. It's just a 5" square.

Hay bow,
how long does that 6volt last? Im running my AAs for over a year now and it still feels like a bee sting if you are neer it when it goes off.
Time working on this is just adding feed and about at about 6 month and depending on the heat down here I check it with a batt tester and close it up. Season starts and I add a little longer feeding time and a second feeding time. I can feed as many times as I want.
It is a lifetime warranty and just about pig proof. Mine has been pig tested and the only thing they did was mess up the spinner.
Oh TC moltrie is programable I have 2 of them, Pig tested and failed.
Not lifetime warranty.
good luck.

The best feeder moter we found is birds. Just mix a little bird seed in with your corn and let the birds do the rest. They will put down corn all day long. You can control how much feed you put out by how fmuch room you have between the spinner and the cone.
