Pro... Went to the website and got a red flag on the By Pass protein... I think one of the seed places got themselves in a little trouble with that.

Bucket...I wondered about the site. As I said, I thought that was a little outrageous.

I found tons of info that said the roasted beans are higher in protein than regular...but no info on why. Maybe the folks roasting the beans are making all the claims.:D

My guess is that roasting the soybeans concentrates the protein. Otherwords, the moisture is being remove and not the protein, so their is more protein per pound of beans. Just a guess though.

You are probably right. I know beans that are fed to animals such as pigs are usually roasted and squeezed to extract the oil for margarine and cooking oil. If you feed raw beans to pigs you get a condition known as soft pork which makes the meat very unpalatable.

You just never know when some otherwise useless bit of info comes in handy!
