What to feed? Corn and (WHAT?).

Just curiuos what is the best to mix up at the feed mill for my deer. I plan on feeding from Jan 1 to Aug 1 from a tripod type spreader. I saw the post on corn and have always heard not to feed straight corn. But what else or what couple items should I have mixed in.(also somewhat economical)
Thanks!

I am curious also.
I have been using two thirds corn and one third soybeans. But the deer definitealy preferred the corn as it looked like they ate around the soybeans. With acorns saved in the fall I would put piles of them around an area and the deer definitealy preferred them. That is why I put the post about harvesting acorns. The deer would eat them over soybeans it seemed.
Why feed deer up to August? Our state doesn' t have a problem of deer finding food in the summer.

Buck, did the deer go for the corn over the soybeans in the green up season? We have found that sometimes the soy beans are too bitter and molassas must be added.

Cloud nine my winter feed mix consists of
250# whole barley
150# whole corn
100# Pellets(Beet or REG. protein pellets)
50# whole soybeans
50# wheat
Not to wet on the mol.(usually around 50 to 70 pounds)
MINERAL MIX( as supplement during spring and summer)
25# DiCal
20#Calcium(LIME)
10#Yeast
5 to 10# of super"6"
I will also use alfalfa bales in Jan. thru march( depending when it gets real cold up here in N. MN.
