I am going to set up some mineral sites this spring and maybe I will be able to see the same results that you have.

I' m curious, when you guys are setting up these mineral sites do you put them near food sources or just along travel areas? Also, do you have better results from mineral blocks or the mineral powders? I' m asking because I just planted a 1/2 acre food plot of biologic green patch plus and am seeing some signs that the deer are feeding on it. Should I put out some mineral licks around the food plot or should I place them on the trails leading in and out of the plot?

Licks should be placed in a concealed area...

i try and place my mineral sites just inside field/plot edges or in funnels leading to and from my plots.also my sites are away from my stands and are not hunted over. i want the deer to feel safe while using them.heres a pic from this summer at one of my sites.
