Default Food Plot Help (Improving Soil)

I have an area that I want to plant next year, but it is mostly red clay type dirt. What are some things I can do to improve the dirt and convert it into good soil? Is there anything I can put on it that would help? I've never had to deal with this type of dirt before. Thanks

Do what your soil test says. Anything else is just a blind guess. My experience has been that clay is much better than sandy soil!
