Default Athena Rape Seed

Called the local feed me to see if they had any Dwarf essex rape they said they didnt have any but they did have athena rape which they said is very similar. My question is has anyone planted this and how did the deer take to it. I was planning on planting it at the end of August with a mix of winter rye.

I plant rape every year, not sure of the brand name. The deer start eating mine in late nov, which is good because it give the rape plenty of time to grow. I mix mine with winter rye or buck forage oats.

Rape grows well in north Florida, should grow in Alabama.
