Default Winter Peas?

What does everyone think about Winter Peas. Do deer like them or not and most importantly do deer hit them after snow is on the ground?

Don't know about the snow, but the Austrian Winter Peas I have tried didn't work well. When they get about 3" tall the deer will bite them off and they don't come back.

Austrian winter peas have been a mixed bag here. i planted them in 2009: The deer hit them until they got about 4" high then quit. A friend had a nice 2 acre plot and the deer hit those peas all winter. Another friend had several acres of winter peas in an area that is over-run with deer; they never touched them.
