Default Newbie need some advice!

I have about 200 ac located in south central MN with about 60ac total of woodland creek bottoms and ridgelines. There is no shortage of corn & soybeans but I have 2-3 small 1/2 ac. areas each that I can plant some sort of plot in. I would like to plant one in Brassica for a late season hunting plot but need your advise on weather that is a good idea or what to plant the other one(s) in.

Deer will probably hit your brassicas hard after the corn is combined off the fields, especially after it snows. If you are looking to plant feed for spring, summer, and early bow season, I would plant clover. An in-between crop I have great luck with is a peas-oats mix. Plant it in mid-August, and it will be used from September-snow/hard freeze.
