soil test here run about $40
its a must have fer anyone planting!!

Thanks. One thing we know without testing the soil is that it needs lime. Up in the mountains of northern PA the soil has a pretty low pH. Ferns and blueberries abound and lots of hemlocks.

The soil test helped us determine how much lime and what kind of fertilizing we should do.

Now, my personal mini-plots by my stand do not look very good at all
