Brassica plots (Updated Sept. 30)

Nice plots. How tall were your turnips after 30days? I am trying them for the 1st time and got them in a little late. After 30 days, they're up, but only about 3" tall.

Mine were 12" or so within 30 days. Weather was perfect at that time, and likely warmer than what you have.

i sowed with buck forage oats, and the deer are hitting it on a regular basis. next year i'll get them in earlier

Nice plot. I tried planting brassicas a few years ago, but since changed strategies and now growing fruit trees. How did you get it that lush without teh deer tearing it up first? Your plots tempt me to try it again.
