Default Water Hole Help!

Ok guys here is the question of the day! I have built a watering hole with an old pool liner. The problem that i am having is the deer poked holds in it with their hooves. I am going to lay some rubber matts in it. But the question that i have is can I use the rubber roofing that comes in a 5 gallon bucket to seal the mats? Will it be toxic to the deer? Any help on the matter would be huge!

Thanks
Ty

Go to a place that sells pond stuff and get what you need to seal it. I thuink Home Depot or Lowes has some non toxic pond sealer.
