plan on planting soon and with so many products on the market was wondering what the michigan guys have had good luck with for fall and winter. this plot will be in heavy clay. i've heard that a 50/50 blend of winter weat and sugar beets is hard to beat...

I am in Ohio and I am planting a mix of winter wheat, oats, clover and turnips. I have done a lot of research on various forums and this mix seems to be a favorite of many. I thought I would give it a shot. I am putting it in Sunday.

buck forage oats are pretty good, drought resistant, grows most anywhere, good luck competing with nearby fields depending on where you're planting, usually i plant in dirt, not clay, but maybe thats just me, good luck brad vanderbandi
