Default corn price

stopped by the local coop this morning to inquire about the deer corn price....50# bag is $11.?? !!!! Holy Shat! That is about twice as much as last yr. Apparently the ethanol makers are not corn feeding deer hunters.

whats the price in your area? (please give us your state) Im in northcentral oklahoma

I think like the coop guy said - gonna be some skinny deer this yr.

I usually buy it by the ton and last spring I paid $240 a ton, that comes out to $8.33 for a 50# bag, I'm gonna pick up another ton on friday so it will be interesting to see how much it has gone up. three years ago it was $80 a ton.

Ethanol is a ripoff...they need to make it from something that is not such a staple of our economy. It's caused the cost of many things to skyrocket...corn, soybeans, fertilizer...just about everything in farming/food plotting.

I have seen it (PA) for $7.50 - $8.00 for a 40# bag, and $9.50 for 50#.

Friends of mine in SC are paying $10.00+ for a 50# bag of cob corn and $8.00 for a 40# of shell.
