Good point, Roundup Ready is a term use to describe plants that can withstand glyphosate. They can not withstand every single Round Up brand herbicide out there. If the Round Up you used had something like 2,4,D in it, that would explain your problems.
It does not have to be “ag” Round Up, but it has to be glyphosate herbicide, no matter the brand.
Any brand of glyphosate will not have 2,4, d in it.round up is a non systemic product and 24d is a systemic compound. You wouldnt need to mix the 2.

There was some Roundup that had 2-4D in it. It helps burn the broadleaf weeds even faster than just Roundup.

Check out Round Up weed and grass killer. It certainly does have both.Mixing glyphsate and 2,4,D is very common.
