Looking for a good mineral block...
I am seeing all of these trail cam photos that are getting a lot of deer. What kind of mineral blocks are you guys using? or where can i get one? are they all the same? I live in western PA and i am going to put out the camera to look at some velvet bucks! Thanks for the help and best of luck!

RE: Looking for a good mineral block...
Trophy rock works the best.I have used deer cane blocks and Bio rocks also with good results. What works good on one property may not even get touched on another. You have to experiment in your your area.

RE: Looking for a good mineral block...
You can make your own, It's cheaper in accordiance to volume,it works better, and it attracts better, though Ive never used a trophy rock... I had a 8 pointer in my mineral site 3 hours after making it.
Ingredients: 2part Trace minerals 1part Dicalcium Phosphate 1part Rock Salt. My results were unreal, Ive had over 1000 pics already this summer. |

RE: Looking for a good mineral block...
50# Loose trace mineral salt and 50# Di-Cal mixed 50/50, dig a hole about 3' wide and 1' deep, pour in half of it and mix with the dirt. Refresh in a few months.
