Does any body use a livestock water tank to provide water for deer and if so do you ever run into problems with coons or birds or other animals dying in them someone told me they tried it and had three dead coons in there. Also would it work to put a couple of rocks by the edge so if they did fall in the could crawl out.
Thanks again guys

Unless the water level if two feet or more lower than the rim of the tank, nothing can get stuck. We've had stock tanks on the farm as long as I can remember and have never seen a dead animal in any of them.
