WILL IT WORK
hey guys need a honest opinion i have 20 acres of woods mostly oak trees and ferns i have a few lil opening in the property from the logging company and i have started to clear them out to use as small food plots, my question is i bought a small craftsman walk behind tiller to work these small plots which was fine until i started to expand a lil and got ideas to do another plot well its alot of work now touse the tiller so iwas thinking about getting an atv disc but the atv i got is a 1999arctic cat 250 2x4 would this atv work? let me know what you guys think i would hate to have to buy a new atv but would hate it more if i bought a disc that i cant use with my current atv.

I believe that you will be quite a bit under powered with your atv. The disc is not that heavy BUT, there is alot of resistance when pulling the disc. I use a Sportsman 500 for pulling my disc. I wouldn't want to go much smaller than that. That is my $.02. Good luck. Mark

You might wind up putting a new transmission in the 4-wheeler you have pulling a disc. Everybody wants to use the litttle disc and when they bounce around doing minimum cutting they add a couple of concrete blocks, etc and they aren't made for it. I'm not fond of using implements on any ATV to tell the truth. We burned up the tranny in a new Polaris a couple of years ago pulling a drag harrow.
