Default Spraying

I need to improve my spraying & was thinking about puting food dye in the tank. Will this work & what color is best?

How about liquid dish soap? You'd get some nice bubbles to mark your swath and the phosphate in the soap would add to your fertility. Just a thought.

The liquid dish soap won't help much with marking your path, but it will serve as an adequate substitute surfactant.

They make a dye additive for sprayers- you probably know all about it already- but I can't bring myself to pay the $20.00. Probably - its worth it - I guess it'll do ALOT of acres.

1 qt of the marking dye will give a nice color for about a 100 gallons of spray. I mix 2 qts for my 200 gal sprayer. This time of year, you may have better luck with red dye. Green is tough to see. I generally use blue and pay about $80 for a 2 1/2 gal jug which cover about 30 acres. It is fairly expensive, but if your overlapping too much or not overlapping at all, you are wasting money on your herbicides.

i've seen atrazine and i swear it looks and smells like white latex paint.
