Default Spraying

I need to improve my spraying & was thinking about puting food dye in the tank. Will this work & what color is best?

How about liquid dish soap? You'd get some nice bubbles to mark your swath and the phosphate in the soap would add to your fertility. Just a thought.

The liquid dish soap won't help much with marking your path, but it will serve as an adequate substitute surfactant.

They make a dye additive for sprayers- you probably know all about it already- but I can't bring myself to pay the $20.00. Probably - its worth it - I guess it'll do ALOT of acres.

1 qt of the marking dye will give a nice color for about a 100 gallons of spray. I mix 2 qts for my 200 gal sprayer. This time of year, you may have better luck with red dye. Green is tough to see. I generally use blue and pay about $80 for a 2 1/2 gal jug which cover about 30 acres. It is fairly expensive, but if your overlapping too much or not overlapping at all, you are wasting money on your herbicides.
