Cows and Food Plots

This weekend I'm trying to make a small half acre food plot and i have a few cows on my place. Do you think they will discover it and tear it up?

If you plant something deer will eat. I'm 100% sure the cows will tear it to pieces. Consider possibly a hot wire fence.
