Default Plots for Muledeer and Elk?

Does anyone have first hand experience planting food plots in the west for muldeer and elk? I was wondering if similar tactics we use in the east for whitetails will work on their western cousins? Specifically will mulies and elk hit plots with clover, alfalfa, and brassicas?

Thanks, Rob

Default RE: Plots for Muledeer and Elk?

Elk and mule deer love alfalfa, wheat, and apple orchards here in washington state we have huge damage issues with large groups of elk and wheat fields on the east side of the state. I grow orchard grass for my local heard on the west side and they tear it up pretty good glad Im not trying to sell it.
