What are most of your muzzleloaders wearing for optics.
I am leaning toward a 2-7x32 or 3-9x40. I just got another knight and it needs some glass. Looking at Leupold and Nikon
What is the difference, if any, between the nikon monarch, buckmaster, and prostaff??

I use the standard high power hunting scopes on my inlines 3x9 variables. Right now I have 3x9x40 Zeiss Conquest mounted on my inline. The Monarch if in your budget and usage warrants, if not the buckmaster. (Although never even looked through or at the prostaff) I believe putting as much scope as feasible will repay itself and just b/c it's a stuffer doesn't mean it warrants a lesser...although I use my ML for hunting as much or even more than my CF each fall and find myself spending more range time on it than my CF's.

I put a leupold vari x II 3x9-40 on my T/C Omega and absolutely love it. After trying many other scopes a Leupold is all I use anymore. They are a bit more pricey than others, but they are the type of scope that will be used by your grandkids b/c they last forever if taken care of.

I had a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9x40 sitting around so I put that on mine and it has worked good for me. Any good quality rifle scope will work, if I was to do it again I would go with a Leupold 3-9x40.
