Wow, this is turning into quite a long thread isn't it?
Did y'all know, that at one point, white-tailed deer were on the brink of extintion?
Buck Magnet, we do have 2 apple trees and 1 pear tree that the deer like, we usually don't use many of the fruits because we're still looking for a good, non-chemical way to keep the bugs out, we refuse to use pesticides on all the stuff we grow because so many wild creatures also eat what we grow (sometimes when we don't want them to, like our garden). We also have a source of fresh water, our yard runs right next to the Black River in Michigan.
And so far my food plot is doing well, it just rained here again on Friday, and I check every so often to see what's popping up.
Guss, I'm just a vegitarian, not a vegan, although I don't drink a lot of milk and the only eggs we get are from the family farm a couple miles north of us.
Recurver67, does your camera take fairly good pictures? About how long does it take to fill up the memory card, on yours anyway.
Yay, I just looked out the window and that turkey's back in the yard! Must go watch him from my bedroom window now.

The cam has 2 settings high and standard, high=40 pics & standard=140. I bought the mem card and I've never ran out of space on high. As far as pic quality , I leave it on high after experimenting. The price I gave you was from the catalog not net price, get the catalog online. Hears a pic in standard res.

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this or not, but I myself would add some apple trees to the far corner of my back yard if I wanted to see deer. Several that would ripen at different times. However when they are small you'd need to fence them in to protect them from wildlife until they grow a bit.
I myself like to see deer also. hunting is generally seeing more than killing.
