Bahaa haa haa....
That said it doesn't look like a shed to me. Sheds are normally disconnected from the pedicle slightly below the burr. This leaves the bottom of the antler looking porous and somewhat flat. This antler looks like it has been sawed off below the burr line. Usually if there is bone sticking out below the burr line it is jagged, because it has not been shed as such, but torn away from the pedicle. This one looks like it has been cut straight across. []

RE: Possible largest shed ever found???
It is quite sad that some do not believe this as being an actual shed. It wasn't like I was out looking for sheds when I found it. I just so happened to look down while working and find a deer shed on a golf course. It is an actual shed. I can't get any good pictures of the pedicle because it is so small and the flash makes it difficult to view. I would think that anyone wouldn't go that far and cut off a horn to make such a statement. I have another spike shed that I found not 20 yards from where this one was and both of there pedicles are the same. They are much different then a larger rack, they are longer and are not directly under the burr like a larger shed is.
