Well don't show or tell them where it is! Also if they are friends, family, etc they should not want to hone in on your spot unless you invite them. I know it isn't easy I have had to deal with this myself, but you have to lay down the rules and if they don't care to abid by them then a tough desicion maybe in the waiting.
In my area it is illegal to hunt in someone stand, without written premission...but I would hate to have to resort to that!
Tough one, but I would just try and be honest with them. Hopefully they will respect your wishes and not have an all out brawl.

Maybe try sitting down all togather divide the area into sections that each one gets to there selves. Then switch locations the next year.Thats the fairest way to hunt togather without interfering with each others area.
It's not how big the Deer,But the size of the experiance that matters!!

Just tell them that your stomach was upset and that you had no choice but to take care of business right under your stand. That should keep them away for the season giving you enough time to work out a long term plan.
But seriously I know what you mean. Three of us hunted a large piece of property which had more than enough room to hang multiple stand sites for everyone. Then we got kicked off and went to a place about the same size as yours. And with only 80 acres there are going to be a couple of hotspots and the rest could be hit and miss (at least that is what we ran into). It almost became a race to see who could leave work the earliest and hang their stand before anyone else, which wasn't good for the family/friendship. We ended up talking and the end result was doing a "blind draw" for choice on which area we hunted. It was a real ugly situation for a while.

Im hunting just under a 1000 acres. I have 2 stands in a 60 acre area that are off limits to everyone else in camp. I gained the permission for the group to hunt the property and did 80% of the scouting and tree stand placement. I marked trails to every other stand site but these 2. First time any of them will see these stands is when I need help dragging a deer out!

I own 50 acres. I let 8 people hunt there during the gun season. Archery season is off limits for everyone but one of my buddies and myself. For archery season we have a laminated aerial photo with all stand locations marked on it. We have the picture hanging on the back of the shed. Whenever my buddy or myself are heading into the woods we mark on the aerial photo where we are hunting that day. This helps us form ruining each others hunts. We have several stands set up for each wind direction. This gives each person a stand to hunt on any given day. The key is to only hunt a stand if the conditions are right.
As far as choosing who to let hunt on your property. I let my buddy hunt because I have been going to his camp for the past 10 years. Plus, he is a serious hunter who is not going to take any shortcuts and screw up my season. During the gun season the more guys the better (to a certain extent). Eight only hunt the first day or two. Plus we can do a couple of drives with that many people.

i have been in that situation, they either hunt to close or go in early and have to stop and see how you are doing meanwhile the buck you were watching is now headed for the next state. so to cure that i hunt in the thickest places i can find none of them will go in because there is no deer needless to say 4 years running i have taken a buck each year
