Until a couple of years ago I used nosler ballistic tips but now have switched to partitions for all my rifles. For some reason I always seem to end up with nosler bullets.

Whatever is on sale and is a soft point bullet, for the particular caliber I'm using. I'll buy 3-4 boxes, sight the gun in, clean it again, then use the final box to hunt my deer/bear/elk/antelope or pig with.

For hunting purposes, I want my shots to be at least 5" groups at 200 yards and Im happy. This philosophy hasn't let me down in years. I get my game all the time (provided I have a shot).

From Core Lokts, power points, to Federal premium loads, they all work for me with the right shot placement. My freezers are full year round with various game. I haven't bought store meat (steaks, ribs, chops etc...) in about 10 years..... I must be doing something right with the loads I choose.

Until this year I had been using Hornady Custom 150 grain boat tail spire points in my .300 Win Mag. I'm now going to give the Hornady SST's (ballistic tips) a try, since they offer them in 150 gr .300 mag.

Barnes X in all calibers for all game. I beleive that we are up to about 10 whitetails with the X bullet so far. Only exception is in my .45-70. For that I use Hornady 350 round-nose soft points.

What ever shoots the most accurate out of your gun. Some guns are somewhat pickey as to what load and brand they shoot most accurate with. You have to experiment a little to find the right one. Or hand load if you want it really accurate.
