I shot one last year when hunting and we skinned it and threw it on the grill. The great part of it still moving is that when it would get real hot on one side, it would turn itself over. We had to keep an eye on it though because it kept trying to slither off the grill.

My question exactly. How did it taste?

I agree, what in the heck did the thing taste like.

Years ago a friend of mine shot a pretty big rattler, about 5ft. The snake got it a few times and as far as we were concerned, DEAD.

Later that evening while standing around the truck, my friend sreemed out, Dang snake got me! Luckly enough he had on snake boots. Snake have a reflex even when dead.

I would suggest when shooting rattlers that you shoot them in the head!

Keep hunting and the outdoors alive!
