thanks guys it is me greatwhitehunter101 they closed my accont dont know why but ya i hunt in the rutlage area and near townshend we have a place in the mnts. we have acsecess to over 10000 acres of hunting so keep them coming i have my 30-06. but am looking for a gun with alil more distance like a 7mm or somthing

enterthe moose raffle u wont be sorry lots of big moose and there r to many we need an open seson so we can keep there numbers down the coyt' problem is there to i am trying my best with my 30-06. but i aint enoff lol great grouse hunting too big black bears BUT ENTER THE MOOSE RAFFLE U WONT BE SORRY!

anyone ealse here hunt in vermont? well enter the moose raffle u wont be sorry trust me but i saw 20 moose the other day all in great shap and found lil deer sing and 1 dead doe that starved the moose are eating all the ground brows and the deer aint got nothin[:@]

A browning BLR in .308 win, a remington 7600 carbine in .30-06 would both serve you extremely well on deer at those ranges. Top them off with a 1.5x5 or 2x7 scope and never look back.

I would use .270 or .30-06. Learn to shoot up and down for point of impact, it's not like shooting on flat ground. I shoot 6.5mm SWED. ,but also have .270, .280 and .30-06.
