The best part of this type of baiting is you don't need to carry a lunch into the woods! A plastic spoon and your all set!

www.deerx.com even makes a supplement for deer that is peanut butter flavoring. They claim it attracts deer. I cant say one way or another.

Peanut butter does work..if you use it a good or 3 days before you hunt ..it seems to bring them in.,.'i've seen it's effects,,rubbing it all along the tree's.. (they cam't resist it)

..Hey.. i have stood there, cooking dinner at my camp site in the evening after applying peanut butter,,and i'm looking at ,what i've put out there, and i'm thinking"My Gawd,,that really works"

i tried the 3lb. bucket from shoprite. i think it goes for like 5$ on sale. i tied the bucket handle to a string and hung it 3 foot from the ground. the racoons must have got into it and ripped it to the ground and emptied the bucket in like 3 days. you should have seen the strange colored messy poo they left behind. that will teach them[&:] tried small dollar store jars and the deer didnt seem to like it much. it was like 15 degrees out that week so maybe it was more like an ice pop

remove the foil seal from the jar of peanut butter and then screw the jar onto the lid on the tree.....Now take a sharp knife and cut a hole in the bottom of the plastiic jar.
Why remove the foil if your cutting the bottom?

I did say that, didn't I ????? Must been typing and drinking again[:-]
