RE: 260 remington
I bought a ruger alweather last feb in 260 and used it for the first time this year. The buck I shot with it was facing right at mefrom 80yds. I shot him right at the base of the white spot on his neck. He dropped on the spot. I was using hornady's 129 gr sp.
The 260 is very pleasant to shoot I would recoment it to anyone. I am working up a coyote load right now using hornady's 95 gr V MAX.

RE: 260 remington
I picked up a rem model 7 in a .260 at the start of last season fro my 2 young sons to share, then 7 and 11. Both have taken their first bucks and does last season. . .this season was much tougher and only the younger shot a spike. I use a .270 and I will sometimes use the .260 because I like the way it shoots so well.
The only down side is that I have found in using a 120gr with it that if you get into bone the round will change course a bit more than my .270 shooting 130Gr.
I think it is a great Deer round.
