BSA Scopes

I traded a gas r/c car for a BSA platinum series 3-9 x 50 scope last night. What is everyones opinion on these scopes? Was that a good trade or should I have sold the car and then bought another scope?

Don't know how much that car was worth, nor do I know the price on the scope...If you didn't need the R/C, then you made a good deal I suppose.

BSA makes low end scopes ,
I hope the car wasn't worth much . All the ones I've seen were listed in Sportsman's Guide , most were under $100 .

well the car was about $900 brand new and it only a couple of years old with hardly any run time on it. It is probably worth $500 - $600 but i would need to find just the right person to buy it for that much. I never use it and not planning on it (not enough time anymore). The scope is a platinum series. The prices i found for that series was between $199 - $250. I could use the scope for the last couple of weeks of the season.

I have a 4x BSA that I bought at wallyword for $29. Its on my 10/22. Its ok, but I don't know that I would put one one a high end gun.

those things are very expensive. like i said i don't use it anymore but i will use the scope.....i am putting it on a 30-30 that was given to me. Should work pretty good

All i am asking is if the scope is reliable

I have a BSA Deer Slayer 3x9x40 on my Knight Woverine muzzleloader and I think it's a great scope. It gets subjected to a lot of crud when I shoot and I just wash it down with soap and water when I clean my muzzleloader. Been doing this for a couple years and so far haven't had any problems with it. I've owned other brands of scopes that I wouldn't do this to. I think you'll be happy with it and in my opinion it definately has more value to than the gas RC car. You can't hunt with a toy car.:D

when you trade something if its worth it to you that's all that matters.
