I think it will be ok for a 30-30. I have a 6 * 30 BSA on an old marlin 30-30 I hardly use. It works fine, I dont think I would trust one on any thing bigger. I use this old gun as a loaner to friends, and it has kill plenty of deer. No one has complained. I went with the BSA because it was cheap, and It wouldnt bother me if a friend broke it.

You get what you pay for. BSA scopes won't be anything more than average, at their best. Which is just fine for some guns, that don't require a great and above average scope. I've used them before, and they get the job done, but I'd pay a little extra for better quality anyday. Just my 2 cents.

i have a bsa scope on my 7 mag becuase i had to send my leupold to be regassed . all my top end guns have leupold . BUT i will say this my sons use BSA cause i wont spring for any higher till they get responcible and they have done fine. i took a 10 pt muley at 450+ yards this year with a scope just like yours. its the shooter that matters all the scope does is give better light or clear optics

A quality scope also provides consistant point of impact as the magnification is adjusted and after repeated recoil, and consistant movement as the windage or elevation is adjusted.Many poor quality scopes do not.

I just got a BSA for christmas and using it on a .22 LR and it is as clear as the leupold i have and has stayed sighted in from the 1st day. No problems at all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hay Treehunter got any more $500 stuff for trade for $200 stuff. Just kidding, You might learn to sell on Ebay you would likely have gotten close to the $500 for the car.

well i sighted it in yesterday and i was really surprised at the results. At 100yds i was shooting 3 round shot groups within half an inch from each other. Since it has a 50mm front lense, i shot well into dark and could still see just fine. Optics are very clear and eye relief for that 30-30 is perfect (2.5"-3"). cross hairs are really nice too. As far as the operation and appearence of the scope it is perfect. The only thing left is making sure it holds its zero. Thanks for all the replies guys. For a low end scope i would definetly reccommend this to anyone

I have been using a 3-9x50 on my 30-06 for the past 2 hunting season's + I'm impressed. For a lower priced scope, no problems yet.

i have a bsa 4-16x44 mil-dot on my 308 and it works great! i have shot over 400 rds with it on the gun with out one single problem. and 150rds of match 178gn ammo. never a problem. my brother shot it twice with that scope then the next day he went to buy one for his 243.
i would rather have the scope than the r/c car any day. hope you enjoy your new scope;)

I have a BSA 3*9*50 on my Ruger M77 MKII 7mm Mag, and it has held zero for over a year now, so yes I am happy with it.
