Flathead contact Remington, years ago my cousin had a shotgun shell misfire, he contacted them and got a free box of shells and a nice note of apology from them.

Lube dent, shoot it as long as it chambers it will be fine. My
22-250 only shoots good at the top of the pressure range in the books
and I have shot a bunch of lube dented shells through it when praire dog hunting. If everyone starts asking for free shells for something as simple as a lube dent that 10 dollars a box price will look cheap!!

A dented shoulder is nothing to be scared about. I see them and i shoot them and i knew it was safe before i shot it. I did not die so it will be fine like other have said.

Why work when you can hunt???? Heck why work at all!!

Just shoot it. The dent will magically disappear.

They said that it will shoot fine in any new rifle. They also apoligized for any inconvience. They said if I ever have the problem again let them know. And No, I did not ask for a free thing of ammo, But most companies will do it anyway. And Yes, I am cheap. And proud of it.

The last time(only time) I contacted a ammo Mfg.(Fedaral) with a concern over there shells I got 4 free boxes of ammo. Don't shoot it untill they mail you back saying it is OK.
