RE: Dumb Question????

no dairyking, he can have split brows or other stickers on the rack and still be a typical. just when he gets more junk than average, such as a 5X5 frame with 5 or 6 large abnormal points or a copule big and a few small. just depends on what type of abnormal points he has and how many. For example, we found dead an 11 point typical buck that scored 175 3/8 net. he had a 5X5 frame with one sticker. still a typical.

RE: Dumb Question????

i emailed Boone and Crockett and this is their response... hope it helps...

Trophies can show an almost infinite vaÂ*riety in number and location of points. The non-typical category was established to properly recÂ*ognize such trophies. If there are numerous abnormal points, the non-typical score chart should be used so that the additional points can add to the final score, rather than being subtracted from it. If the abnormal points are few in number and short in length(s), use the typical score chart that proÂ*vides for a subtraction of the total of lengths of such points as a penalty for non-symmetry. If there is any doubt as to which score chart should be used, the trophy can be measured both ways. If the trophy qualifies for both the typical and non-typical categories, it cannot be listed in both. The final choice of the listing category in such instances rests with the trophy owner.
