Deer Hunting Behind Fences
What is your take on hunting behind fences?(ex. like some of the Texas/Mexico hunts you see on TV) Does the size of the length fence make a difference on your opinion? Would you hunt behind a fence for deer? Is this really deer hunting when you can restrict the deer that are able to come in and go out?
Not trying to open a can of worms, just curious on some opinions.

I have no experience hunting behind a fence and never will.
I'm sure you can get a wild experience if the area is large enough. Just think that high fences are one of slippery slopes that we face as hunters.
Guarenteed hunts or that deer on that site that someone posted a week ago turn my stomach.

What about hunting on The King Ranch in Texas that is 1300 square miles and is larger than the entire state of Rhode Island? Something tells me the deer there would be more free roaming than most other places. Maybe size does matter?

That makes an interesting discussion Jimmy. If there are thousands of acres, even with a high fences, something like 25X25 square miles, does this change anyone's mind on hunting high fences?

I have never done any game farm hunting. However I think its just fine as long as the hunters know what they are getting into. Game raised for hunting is just another way to make a living off the farmers or operators property. As long as its legal, its fine with me. This is America after all. No game farm animals should be allowed in the record books unless the records are for game farm animals only. As a land owner I would stick up for their rights to legally use the land. It would not be sport to me but to each his own. After all nobody is forcing anyone to partake that does not wish to do so.
