I have heard that anise will attract deer...Has anyone ever tried this? Does it work?

never tried it--there is a guy on the big game forum that said after it was accidentally applied to him--brought an elk within feet of him. ???

I believe trappers use it as an attractor scent. Some commercial deer scents have a strong oil of anise odor to them.

You can get it in the spice and baking isle in the market. It comes in a bottle like vanilla and smells like licorice.
