Default RE: Question on a noise I heard

Is it posible that a buck was near you when all this happened ?

Or another hunter was near maybe ?

Or maybe a Big Foot was near ?

They say they are for real. I am not sure though.

I hope you find out.

Good Luck

Ive heard a buck grunt very loudly like that. It was the largest buck ive ever seen, he was chasing a doe in dry leaves, and I heard him grunt several times before I even heard them running in the leaves, and then spotted them for the first time at about 100 yards, so the grunting I heard was coming from farther then 100 yards, it sounded like he was on a megaphone, it echoed through the woods like nothing I had ever heard. Kind of neat,, it was also the first time I ever heard a buck grunt.

I guess you'd know if a buck would travel in a herd of does where you live, but here they are often seen with a grouping of does between the different rut cycles and especially following rut.

Does also grunt so it could be a doe barking (actually) grunting to her fawn or other doe(s).

I have heard loud grunts produced by both buck and does, but like you most are of softer toned nature. Sorry can't really say for certain, good luck getting your deer .
