Single shot slug gun Question

I also have the H&R Ultra slug hunter deluxe. It's by FAR the most accurate slug I have ever used. Iown and have hunted with a Remington870 w/rifled barrel and a Mossberg 695 bolt action slug gun w/rifled barrel. Neither are as accurate as the H&R. Mine likes both the Winchester Supreme Partition Gold Slugs: 380gr 1900fps and the Winchester Platinum Tips: 400gr 1700fps.
I prefer and have it sighted with the Platinum tips because I feel they have better stopping qualities. It's topped with a fixed 4 power Nikon scope. It's deadly out to 150yds. It will kill out to 200yds but the slug really starts to drop at that range. I have killed deer out past 100yds with absolutely no problem and my furthest to date is a 143yd (range finder)that deer went 50yds and dropped in sight. The slug went right through (double lung). I would not even think twice about a 150yd shot.
It's not whatI would call a"carry gun" as it's very heavy. This helps with the recoil though. I removed the recoil pad and took out thesteel "tube" that'sin the stock. I feel it's heavy enough without it and have not noticed any more recoil. It will lighten up the gun about1-2lbs I use a sling that has 4 shell loops in it for easy access to additional shells if needed....so far that hasn't been the case.
Here is a pic.

Got one in 20 ga for my kid. Unbeleivably accurate!! Get one hole groups with it at 50 yards and MOA at 100. Best load we found for this one is 2 3/4" Federal Hydra shock sabots.

I've got a M66 super slug, its a single shot, break open slug gun. Very light weight LOL in other words, it kicks HARD, and I like guns that kick but this one.......wow. Pa, had to put one of them rubber things on the butt end to help ease the kick. But he killed all his deer with that or the ole 30-30.

I just bought a H&R 20 ga youth shotgun for my daughter and after all the info I found out I am glad I did. Wow if only other gun manufacturers would make a shotgun like this one. Heck I am thinking about getting one myself.

It's nice to see girls excited about guns, that's a cute picture.
If I can make a suggestion, get a good recoil pad and put it on that thing. Those guns are light and your girl is small. I had one when I was kid and they kick pretty good, even for a 20 ga. I was about your daughters size. I could manage it, even with 3 inch shells, but when I put a recoil pad on it it was much more comfortable to shoot.
You could have that gun fitted with a 20 ga ultra barrel as well, or the standard rifled barrel with open sights.
