Well if it makes you feel any better I wouldn't worry too much about the deer not making the record books because face it, records are for man not for the deer. In fact a deer is very determined to do all he can to NOT make the record book. So don't be too upset if the thing ends up being poached and not making the books.

No, if everything turns out cool and it wasnt poached, or if just an honest hunter would have killed him, I would congratulate him.

rather_be_huntin, I know what your sayin but I still think that the deer deserves to be in the record. The deer gets just as much fame as the guy does. I guess thats just the amount of respect I had for that buck huntin him for 4 years.

I know how you feel I hunted the same buck for about 5 years.

I came real close a lot of times but he seemed to be just one step ahead of me.

I never heard of any one getting him so I gues and hope he died of old age.

I seen his white flag waving to more than I want to admit lol
