He was walking along, and he crossed a creek, and he looked over and he seen it get up and take off, he fired once, missed, fired again, missed, and then fired, and hit him to the left of the butt, and dropped him dead in his tracks. He said he normally wouldn't have pulled a shot like that, with it running, and shooting it in his butt, but he seen the rack, and in the heat of the moment.....

Yes, nice buck indeed. I personally like to shoot them right around that size, too, but I'm usually looking for an animal with some droppers, too. I've started to steer towards slightly smaller ones with more intresting racks cause my back has been bothering me.
