Ok all, let's see or hear about the ones taken over this weekend. I unfortunately didn't get to go, but I'm hopeful of spending a weekend soon at my father in law's camp. So, none for me this weekend.

I had the opportunity to carry my daughter out for her 1st Youth Hunt. She got a nice 125 lb doe with her .243 rifle. It only took 2 steps I may add. Perfect shot placement. She is 10 years old and is estatic.

My 14 year old son got an 11 pointer and a doe and I got a nice tall 8 pointer and a doe in Missouri. It was a great weekend.

I got one.......nothing big but where I am at people all shoot anything legal. I watched him for half an hour before I decided to take him, when he started walking towards another hunter's setup that is known to shoot anything legal.........I decided I would shoot him or that guy would. He was a big spike. He chased two does all morning in front of me and put on a good show rubbing every tree around him. It was a beautiful but very chilly opening morning. Not many shots around me, most of the people on the mountain didn't see much.

I watched 2 does for about an hour Saturday morning but since still got awhile left in the season held off for a buck I caught sight of the week before while driving the range that I hope to come across again, looked to be at least a 8 point, but I did get a couple of hogs that were digging up the grass that was just planted for the new calf's so It was a good weekend, headed back up next weekend hope get my sights on that buck

Well I had a good weekend of hunting, saw 10 bucks (five of them were bucks I had not seen last weekend) and six doe. Good cold front made the weekend great. Deer moved all-day Saturday. The only thing that sucked was I froze my butt off sitting in my tripod with a light drizzle and and occasional shower drentching me and my gear. All the bucks I saw were between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 years old. Saw two nice 10s, two 9s, and three 8s, and a 6, 5, 4 point. I think they have a lot of potential for next year. I did shoot one of the 9s but I am going to wait a post the details on a new post when I get my pictures back.
