Default Sight-in question

I shot my 30-06 today, at 25 yds it hits just under 2" high. I backed up to 50 yds. and it hits 6" high. I don't understand why so high. Why? I haven't backed up to 100yds. but will try it tomorrow. Thanks, Scott Woody

At 100 yards you will probably shoot completely over the target.

If you sight it dead on at 50 yards it will be on the paper at 100yards.You can then make the final adjustments..

Possibly but possibly not.It depends on the height of your rings and the load that you are using. The only accurate way to know the point of impact at 250 yards is to shoot your gun and load at 250 yards.
