Take Care of Business
In making my list again this year of stuff to pack, buy, food, etc, and checking my saved lists from prior years, I was once again reminded that sometime next week while im in the woods, I will have to have flowers delivered to SWMBO*.
Boys, its worth a lot of inflicted wounds later to spend 45 bucks on a nice bunch of flowers and a note. Married 32 years plus...didnt get this old by being stupid. *She Who Must Be Obeyed |

Wooddust, very good point. I'll definitely add that to the list.

Joe D. - you better not let anyone in camp know you're sending flowers from White Oak Lodge. They'll tell you you're P-whipped (me included:D).

Nothing wrong with a little smoozing.

Good idea, but I just got her flowers for putting up with me through the baseball playoffs. She really earned them after my Cardinals got thwacked!

I buy flowers periodically just because. It is better to have some points built up ahead of time instead of trying to make up after you did something you weren't supposed to. I call it the flower bank, always have some there for a rainy day.

My wife wouldnt be home to get the flowers anyway...with me in the woods, she and my daughter will be marathon shopping at the mall spending me into oblivion.

A buddy of mine bought his wife a car the week before season opened... he had a great year.

RE: Take Care of Business
How about the deer liver or heart? Something that is a little cheaper and is already factored into the deer license.
I tell my wife that I was going to buy her flowers. Then I tell I didn't but it was the thought that counted! Late! |
RE: Take Care of Business
Cardeer I really like you way of thinking. Flowers are nice but..... I thought I was the only woman out there that would rather get hunting stuff. My husband gave me a turkey decoy and new box call for valentines day last year and to me that was the most romantic thing he could have done. Last year for christmas I got pearls and a new shotgun. lol. I have a very smart husband.;)
