high shoulder shot

Thats the shot I use every time I get a chance. Boy does that put down any game animal. Right Now. Very little meat loss. They never move any direction but DOWN.

killer243,
Cooked up some tenderloin for dinner tonight.
On a standing broadside shot I aim just behind shoulder(the boiler room). This depending on shot distance will give me a heart lung shot or a clean "spine shot". IMO a neck shot (I'm not crazy about unless very close) or a spine shot is a great meat saver. It does not ruin much TL at all.

I still like, low and just behind the shoulder blade. No meat ruined but the ribs. Deer will never run any further than 60 to 70 yards.
