I was watching some hunting shows yesterday and this show This happened to me came on.I had nevered watched it before.Anyway at the begining of the show they are showing quick clips of outdoors activities and one is of a guy going up a tree in his climber and you can see he has his rifle laying across the stand in front of him while he is climbing.Anyone else ever catch this?

You gotta watch close,because it happens quick.It is at the very begining of the show.It appears to be the opening video of the show,so it is probably the same each time.

Anyway I just thought that was funny.I can see the show now,this happened to me,I was shot by my own gun while climbing a tree....

thats how I prop my gun while climbing up a tree with my climber stand too. just I dont load it untill i get everything situated.

I haul my rifle up with rope after I'm strapped in. A fall would not be nice at anytime but falling on and being speared by my rifle is a very unpleasant thought. Just call me "chicken" or an old-fart-that-is-wiser-than-he-used-to-be. gg.
