Personally I prefer a good climber. There is nothing like having the ability to pick up move and be back up in a tree it in a matter of 10-15 minutes. I also have ladder stands and lock ons for the locations I hunt on a semi regular basis. They all have their own pluses but If I had to pick one it would be the climber hands down.

I guess I would lean towards a climber. My main reason is being able to move stand locations and comfort(which allows me to hunt longer). Having said that, I hunt a lot out of fixed position stands and enjoy them as well.

I use my climber most of the time, however i do have fixed stand and those are for my guests, i may hunt them if i am too lazy to deal with the climber and just want to get a quick hunt in before dark.

I use ladder, hang on , climbers , ground and pit . I have to say a pit bind is my favorit. I can sit out of the wind with just my eyes above the ground. I hunt 2 pits and a feild edge ditch this way.

I use fixed position stands, the climber would limit my tree selection too much. I use the screw in steps and last year started using a climbing stick that I liked. I also put up a few stands so I do not have to move them as much.
