My nephew hunts down there but mostly for hog.He does really well and says that he's seen some HUGE deer. From what he says you'll need a swamp buggy to get to the good spots.

Yeah some parts a need a swamp buggy. I'am going to go next season with my cousin, he shot a nice 6 point last season. But we are not going to use a swamp buggy we go on foot sometimes the water goes up to your waist, hopefully the season will be dry. But either way i'll have a great time

I hunted the Florida Glades when I lived in So.FL.It can be some rough hunting. You really need a swamp buggy or Track.I'm not sure if 4 wheelers are permited or not. It's been years since I hunted down there. The Mosquitoes are terrible. One time I was walking down a buggy trail and I have never seen so many Pigmy Rattlesnakes. There are hogs and deer.I have also Hunted in Brown's Farm, Holy Land, and Ruttenberg.I never killed anything except a 5' Diamondback. The guys I went with had a camp out from the old Jetport by Midway on US 41(Tamiami trail). They shot an occasional deer.I understand that Fisheating Creek has certain parts reopened. That about 2.5 hour north of Miami on US 27.Much nicer hunting there.Well worth the drive. The Florida Everglades maybe okay for some but it's not my cup of tea.Good luck if decide to go.I would get a good pair of snake boots and (or) chaps and Ten gallons of Mo-Skeeter repellent for starters.Ruger Redhawk
