I have found smaller trees destroyed before and like others some larger trees with the bark gone all the way around.

I have seen a group of sapling pines that were all snapped off, almost looked like they were run over with a bushhog, but i know it was a large buck, i had been hunting. He now makes a fine conversation piece on my wall.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

My brother transplanted about 50 cedars and everyone was hit by deer rubbing on them. All of them would have been destroyed if I hadn't cut down prickly ash and had thrown them around the base of the cedars. Also, when ever I cut down a tree I will place them around the cedars. It is working and they are making a comeback. Two of the trees are at least 15 feet by now.
