I hunt with a recurve,a .50c flintlock,and a 7mm-08 rifle.The recurve is at the top of the list followed by the flinter.

My weapon of choice is the bow. When it comes to rifles I like the 30-30 for heavy brush and my 7mm rem mag for those pesky long shots!

In this order......1) My bow.........2) My muzzleloader.........3) My slug gun.

I hunted with rifles until about 9 years ago.Then I started using Rugers and Contenders.I really enjoy hunting with a handgun.

Order of preference: 1-BowTech Extreme VFT, 2-Remington 870 slug gun, 3-TC Black Diamond XR

My Bow through every season. Why hunt with anything else?

Here in IL it's slugs only. I choose uh, ummm, well.........my 12 gauge H & R Ultra Slug Hunter Deluxe, of course.

But I always bring the back up along in case I set up in tight brush. That would be the old JC Higgins 12 gauge pump w/ rifled sights. Can pop off three with this one.

Alas I live in a shotgun state a nice slugster with a low power scope.But I`d love to have the space to use a .300 WSM.
